SVN setup tutorial
How to set the SVN client working:
- Backup important scripts.
- Delete your unity proyect/svn folder on your computer. Start with an absolute clean computer.
- Create an Unity project.
- Go to that folder->Assets. Inside the Assets folder right click SVN Checkout.
- Enter the following URL: http://svn.okengame.com//trunk/Assets/
- You will be warned that the folder is not empty. Click ok. Wait for the update.
- Now, you should have you Assets folder filled and up to date.
- Open Unity and open your project. Don't close it.
- Do the normal SVN Checkout for the Docs and Source folders. They are located in:
- You can place those folders wherever you like (Outside the Unity project of course!!!!)
Important:
To avoid *.unity file problems (Unity scenes) please add them to the global ignore pattern. To do that right click on any SVN folder, then select TortoiseSVN->Settings. Inside the setting dialog, go to General, inside there is box with the label "Global ignore pattern". please add *.unity to that box so your SVN client will ignore al .unity files.
