Reproduce:
(1) Create an Eclipse plugin Fragment:
- say host plugin is called
MyHost
;- fragments are called
FragmentA
, FragmentB
, etc ;MyHost
defines an abstract class named "AbstractFeatureProvider
" ;FragmentA
, FragmentB
, both inherit from AbstractFeatureProvider
with class "FeatureProvider
"(2) Create a Java plugin as a witness:
- Depend on
MyHost
(Fragments are hidden) ;- Using a
FeatureProvider
will allow the usage of methods from AbstractFeatureProvider
(3) Create an equivalent Scala plugin that tries to use the plugin fragments:- do the same as the Java plugin
- the Scala eclipse plugin only display methods (and allow building) methods that are defined in
FeatureProvider
but not the ones they inherit from AbstractFeatureProvider
A temporary work around is to create an intermediate Java plugin.

I cannot reproduce the problem on both 2.0.0-2.8 and master-2.10. This has likely been fixed during 2.0 development.
