smart opening window does not detect screen size/resolution
when you first run smart on some computers (usually ones with high resolution screens) some of the window is cut off/ot visible. If you change the screen resolution the rest of the window becomes visible. Can we get SMART to detect screen resolution so this doesn't happen.

Jeff - can you provide feedback here?
This happens on both Mac running parallels and on PC. It happens frequently. Going on right now in uganda. It isn't that the window isnt centered, it is that the size of the window prevents the login buttons from being pressed. Since the startup window isnt resizable the only fix is adjusting screen resolution.

If possible I'd still be interested in getting the actual resolution.
Not particularly useful, but if the cursor is in the password field and you hit enter you will be logged into the software (So you don't actually need to use the login button).
I would be concerned other issues come up when the user logs in (really small icons). This has been an issue with eclipse: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=421383
I don't think it was fully resolved until the Neon release (SMART would need to upgrade; we are using Luna).

Here is a potential workaround:
1) right click on the smart.exe
2) select Properties
3) Under the "Compatibility" tab select "Override high DPI scaling behaviour:"
You can try all three options; but I think "Application" may be the one to use
Update: Application does not work, but "System Enhanced" sort of works:

And "System" also appears to work but everything will be a bit fuzzy.

This will be fixed by upgrading to eclipse oxygen which is part of the 6.0 release.

On my new laptop 14" screen with a resolution of 1920x1080. Zoom level set to 150%. I tried various zoom levels (100, 125, 150, 175) and they all produced the same results.
I am getting the same issue with the build version 6.999.1
I can still log in but need to tab through the options and hit enter once I'm past the password.

There are some scaling details here:

I set the screen to scale at 200% which showed all the widgets and I was able to log in as normal. With the scale set to 200% the SMART application was difficult to use. I reset my laptop to be its recommended setting of 150%. Now SMART splash screen has all the options and I am then able to use SMART at a proper zoom level.
