Now that the SBT-based builder has been integrated, this is the main issue preventing us to switch back from IDEA. We use ScalaTest for our tests and being able to run/debug them from the IDE is essential.

It would be great if we can run ScalaTests without having to add the JUnit annotation. People on my team are using IntelliJ, and they do not like having the JUnit annotation since IntelliJ and SBT don't need it. It would be great if ScalaIDE will be able to run tests the same way. Thanks!

Have you tried the ScalaTest plugin? It is available in the ecosystem update site.

A quick note only to prevent confusion: the update site for the ecosystem and the Scala IDE are the same. Therefore, just use one of the available stable/milestone update sites and you should see a Scala IDE plugins (incubation) group that you can use to install the ScalaTest plugin.

The ScalaTest plugin should be used to run ScalaTest tests. I'm closing this ticket as won't fix. Please, report any problem directly in the scalatest mailing list or the scala-ide-user one.
