Diff/Merge Viewer does not highlight Scala code
The Diff/Merge View does not highlight the code correctly. It sometimes uses the Java syntax highlighting, e.g. when comparing revisions, or none at all, e.g. when previewing changes during refactoring. I once implemented the very same thing for the Eclipse Ruby Development Tools, so I should be able to locate the necessary code and xml-configuration to do this for the Scala IDE as well.

This is trickier than I first thought, I'll revisit it when we have our own editor.

Eclipse version changed from Helios to Kepler - Eclipse 4.3
Version changed from 2.0.0-final-29 to 3.0.2-210
Assigned to changed from Mirko Stocker to -none-
Status changed from New to Accepted
I started working on that, but as Mirko said, it is trickier than one may think.
At least I got syntax highlighting and some other actions for Scala sources to work, but semantic highlighting for example does not yet work. It seems some preferences are not correctly set. I hope it is only an initialization problem.
Contact me if someone wants to work on this when I don't find the time to finish is beforehand.
