Renewing a mercenary contract (quest) hangs up game.
When you've hired a mercenary group via the quest "Mercenary contract" the leader will speak with you approximately 3 days prior to the end of the contract period. If you select "your men have proven their worth. I would like to continue our argreement." the game seems to hang up.

I was able to recreate this within the save game supplied so I'll attempt figure out why it is happening, but it may be something specific to this save. A confirmation would be helpful.
Okay, now I know for certain this is being caused by the line:

in questpack3_dialogs.py, line 434.
It seems that entire function call is failing somehow and yet hanging up the game instead of simply passing on the failure to a "failed to update" error message.
