As there are messages from handsets and messages to handsets, terminology can get confusing. Here are the words we use:

• message or MT message - the text Taykt sends to a mobile phone (MT means Mobile Terminated).
• MO message - the text Taykt receives from a mobile phone (MO means Mobile Originated).
• word - the word that is texted in to Taykt (e.g., "fruit" in the case of "text fruit to 447786201114").
