Just a small personal project I have been working on that I thought I would share.
I reworked and added the flags of Rohan and Gondor to std_banners_d.dds

I am beginning to get the hand of using Gimp and Paint.net. All programs can do pretty much the same thing, it's simply getting to know where all the "controls" are located. In the above I replaced the two standing Mongol warriors with the banners of the Riders of Rohan and the Silver Tree of Gondor. Michlo, where is your banner in the set you uploaded? I wish to add it to my collection.

It should be in banners_g, RV. :)

No problem. Alas that GIF is all I had to work with so if your superior skills can improve upon it, I would certainly welcome it. :)
Here is my old Clan site if you're interested: http://www.ianmwalker.com/clanwalker/
I founded Clan Walker in 2000 after being introduced to the MMORPG called Shadowbane by colleagues. Many of us are still in touch though alas, not really playing together any longer.
Cheers.

Here you go Michlo. I thought you might like having your banner being a bit different from all the others in the field. I do admit - you did select a good blue. Stands out very nicely in the field.

And of course, can you really play Silverstag without the Silver stag?

If you keep building banners we may have to make that the official banner pack for the mod. The question is if folks have enough inspiration in terms of images that they'd like to see incorporated. One bit of feedback I would give is that they're lacking the ripple effect that the standard banners have. I know in the forge there is a texture that is OSP for applying this effect.

Ah yes - I recall reading about that. Let me go look it up and I'll "ripple" 'em up" Perhaps I'll also start putting all the banners we create o'er time and once we have enough we can introduce it in one of the upgrades. It can be a 'sleeper' that we slip in and see if anyone notices. :-)

Lord Michlo stood as the bearers entered.
"Show me, he ordered."
The banner was unfurled and there were audible gasps around the court.
Lord Michlo smiled and turned to RuralVirginian.
"You sir, have outdone yourself. I humbly accept the first improvements to our banner in thirteen years. Please step forward."
RuralVirginian looked nervous, dusted off his glasses and stepped forward.
Grinning, Lord Michlo clasped RuralVirginian and announced, "From this day forth you are an honorary member of our family, Clan Walker, may our houses always be friends and allies".
The court applauded as Sir RuralVirginian blushed and uncharacteristically, was speechless.
Lord Michlo bowed.
"Let the feast commence!"

Thank you very much, RV, that was very kind of you and it looks magnificent. :)
The Silverstag will no doubt be useful for people once we have the option to start out as Silverstag.
I'm gladdened to know you'll be involved in the banner improvements as we're far less likely to end up with Warhammer 3000 banners and the like. ;)
Cheers.

Well thanks Michlo. I had a good product to work with in the first place so it wasn't that difficult. But does this mean we can't keep the bulldog in the helmet?

Haha, I think you'll have to check with our very own Dawg on that one. ;) At one point we actually had the words Warhammer 3000 included and some rather bloody ones. I don't think they are there anymore or perhaps I got rid of them in mine.
Oh and check your e-mail. ;)
Cheers.
