Hello everyone.
I noticed in this post by Amanj Sherwany who originally found out about it that on certain occasions and at least Ubuntu 13.04 and OSX Lion that the Refactor menu duplicates itself. I am attaching the latest picture by Amanj Sherwany on Ubuntu 13.04 with scalaide 3.0.2 in eclipse 4.3.1 and scala 2.10.3 as I am trying to reproduce this random (?) bug. Has anyone seen something like this before? Is there some hint on how to recreate this more consistently? What more is necessary to debug this properly?
Thanks.

I add a quick look at this yesterday, trying to reproduce it.
What I got was that it seemed to happen when launching Eclipse, on the Scala perspective, but then the menus disappear when doing any UI operation. Then I didn't have any 'Refactoring' menu anymore.
I tried to reproduce the problem using Window > Customize Perspective > Menu Visibility, but I was not able enable 'Refactoring' due to something being unavailable.
So it looks like this menu is a bit messy on Linux/Ubuntu (12.10 in my case).

I don't know how to reproduce the behavior but I don't think that is important because the menu is based on an old+deprecated Eclipse API. I'm going to move forward to the new API and hope that this will fix the bug.
Probably fixed in https://github.com/scala-ide/scala-ide/pull/664
