sample editor : enhancement proposals
just some ideas and things i noticed when working with the sample editor:
- it would be nice to be able to fine tune the marker position by hovering above the marker and using the mouse scroll-wheel to move the marker left/right (just like you can do on the boxes below the top window)
- maybe fine tunning the marker position could also be done by grabbing the marker and moving it left/right while you press the Alt (or ctrl) key. This could be a sort of 'divider' function that translates a mouse movement of 100 pixels to a value change of say only 10 samples. (a similar option is available in blender, allowing you to be more precise when you move objects around)
- why is there an apply button? would it be possible to apply the changes in the background, or to change the current function of the Play button to Apply+Play (without the user even noticing that the changes get applied before the sample starts to play). i always forget to apply before i click the play button (it is a bit counter-intuitive imo)
- adding some sort of 'auto find zero crossing' function would also be nice. A checkbox could be added to enable/disable this function. Whenever the checkbox is checked the markers would snap to the next zero-crossing when you move them.
- about the boxes underneath the upper window that indicate the marker positions : it would be nice to have the 'S' 'E' and 'L' marker name next to them so you can see what box corresponds to what marker.
