AKKA actors should be part of 2.10 library
AKKA actors are already part of 2.10 distribution, but the actor jar is not bundled with the 2.10 IDE nightly.

This will require some coordination.
- We need a Akka actor nightly against 2.10-SNAPSHOT (Roland is willing to look into this).
- Add the Akka actor jar in the IDE library bundle.
- Make sure that the Akka actor jar in the bundle can be disabled, so that the Akka team can keep using Eclipse with the Akka actor project.
We need to delay it until the Scala build compiles and publishes akka-actors as part of the nightly build.

So I just realized that the jenkins.typesafe.com box is on Zulu time (UTC) and moved job to 03:50. When is the Scala nightly built and IDE nightly built, and in which timezone(s)?

We build them at 5AM CET. I can move them an hour later if you prefer. Thanks a lot!

That shouldn't be a problem. Our build takes about 4 minutes. The only thing I want to be sure of is that things don't move to CEST when daylight savings change, since the jobs on jenkins.typesafe.com are fixed on UTC.
Seems unnecessary to have a one hour window just to account for daylight savings on some machines.

We should modify the classpath container to allow users to enable/disable individual jars inside the Scala library.

So, Josh is working on a scala-lib-all artifact that will contain the akka-actor jar packaged with the distribution. That will make it much easier to integrate akka-actor in our build.
Publishing the scala-lib-all.jar for Scala releases won't be a problem, but it is a bit more problematic for nightlies (e.g., you need to make sure that akka-actor builds against the scala nightly). Josh is looking into how to fix this properly, let's wait a few days and see what happens.

Mirco has a branch where he did some experimentation on the matter, in https://github.com/dotta/scala-ide/tree/issue/add-akka-actor-in-bundled-scala-lib-1001211
Ticket assignment reverted due to inactivity.
