Suggestion - Organized Bandits
So I was just playing the ole' classic Sid Meier's Pirates! and one feature struck me as a really fun addition to the game was famous pirate captains sailing around for you to fight.
Maybe that is something that could add a little flavour to the bandits in Silverstag. Notable, named bandits who control relatively large bandit hordes, like bandit lords who operate out of small strongholds in the wilderness. One or two bandit gang leaders per faction would be good, perhaps with a few more in the Kerghit lands where 3-4 bandit horse lords are set up, fighting the nobility and each other, attacking caravans, raiding towns, etc. Also you could get creative with the idea and give options for joining these bandit leaders or maybe even recruiting them to your faction and legitimizing them as lords eventually, which would obviously have a negative effect on your relations with most of the proud lords, maybe a few more openminded ones wouldn't care, or may even welcome them, you get the idea.
Bandit leaders could orchestrate abducting lords or ladies as they travel between cities and holding them for ransom, corrupt lords could fund them to have them raid a rival lord's fiefs or attack his armies, a quest could be to expose such a plot. Having an outside force like bandit leaders could add a lot of dynamism to how the whole game plays out really, and the aspects I've so far listed don't sound like they would be impossible to implement, it would be repurposing existing game elements in a new way I think.
But I will end this ticket the same way I will always end tickets, I have no clue, you know if something will work or it won't, I'm enjoy fueling the idea fire.

Lords and Bandit Dens
It always annoyed me, that the only man who actually cares about the bandit dens, and who regularly destroys them if they pop up close enough to his fiefs is me. AI Lords were simply ignoring them, allowing bandits to thrive. I think this should be changed.
• After some time of existence of the Bandit den, Lords with nearby fiefs will attempt to "loot" the den. Succesful "looting" would destroy the den. The closer the den is to the fief, the sooner will Lord react. I thought basic time before the Lord reacts could be about two months (basicly not to oversimplify dealing with bandits and to allow player to raid the dens by himself) and this time would increase with the distance of the Lord's closest fief from the Den. The "looting" should't occur automaticly after the time, but there should be some % chance of it happening.
• If the Den stays on the map for a long time (three months? half a year?), elite squad of bandits will spawn on the Den's location. This squad will be stronger (larger an/or with stronger troops) then the regular bandits and will contain an AI "Bandit Lord" The squad then functions as regular bandits. This squad coud be strong enough to take on Caravans (both merchant and prisoner ones)
