expand/collapse toggle on home page has minor UI issues
This is an unbelievably minor quibble. But there are two things about the expand/collapse switch for contexts on the home page that bother me:
1. The control is a little bit too small. It doesn't look right next to the large-type context name, and it's hard to hit with the mouse pointer.
2. Combined with the small icon, when you collapse the context, the white space at the bottom makes it look, at a glance, like there's nothing in that context. If there were a way to make that white space go away, I think it would look cleaner and less ambiguous.

<a href='http://www.assembla.com/spaces/tracks-tickets/documents/bc_pl60SSr3y8Pab7jnrAJ'>bigger buttons.patch</a>: This patch has bigger and better looking expand/collapse buttons
I attached a patch for the bigger buttons requested. They also look quite a bit nicer.
I was able to get no white to show but only if you delete the border on the context class, e.x.:
.contexts {
padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; <-- notice the 2 is changed to 0
border: 0px solid #999; <-- no border
margin: 0px 0px 15px 0px;
background: #fff;
}
I don't think this is acceptable, it makes the page look pretty bad.

(Ignore the one above, very badly formatted)

Nice buttons! I tinkered a bit with the CSS, and by setting the bottom padding to 0 as you did, but keeping the border, it eliminates the white strip, but the contexts still look OK when they are uncollapsed.
