This is for manual data entry/GPS import (NOT Cybertracker).

When you import waypoints from file (e.g. csv or gpx) - it would be useful to add 'Sampling Unit ID' to the list of optional fields (see attached currently has Waypoint ID and comments.

Its much easier to copy/paste Sampling Unit ID field in an Excel file of downloaded waypoints and save as a CSV than it is to import waypoints into SMART and then manually specify each sampling unit for every waypoint after import in SMART (this is currently the only option). If you're importing hundreds of waypoints per day (not unusual for ER) then this would be a huge amount of work.

And note this is only for ER (not patrols)

As I understand this, the main point would be to add "Sampling Unit ID" as optional column you can put data into using the existing "import from CSV" tool.

I don't think GPX format will have anywhere for sampling unit IDs to be stored.
