Trying out Scala-IDE 4.1.0 RC1, when I try to inspect the type of values using the hover tooltip, I just get errors saying "x already defined as value x". Similarly, methods have a tooltip saying "method foo is defined twice conflicting symbols both originated in file <name>".
This is on a trivial App derived object in a project which is otherwise empty.
I also get occasional errors on the App object saying:
"- constructor definition not allowed here
- self constructor arguments cannot reference unconstructed this"
The latter error goes away on a rebuild (but then comes back), the other errors don't go away on a rebuild.

Looking into it further, I realise that this happened only after I had moved the file containing the code into a new package/directory. It's as if the old compiled class files were still there, conflicting with the code in the new location.

Assigned to changed from wpopielarski769697 to -none-
Summary changed from Spurious errors in tooltips to Spurious errors in Presentation compiler after refatcoring
Milestone changed from Lithium 4.1 to Lithium
Status changed from New to Accepted
This is a known bug that happens on refactorings. It can easily be solved by cleaning and rebuilding the project. It is not a regression in 4.1
