This is on Eclipse Luna on any OS.
If you change the Eclipse Color Theme the following happens:
The top pane of the output part of the view applies the theme colors properly to the output text but remains with locked grayish background color.
The result is unreadable.
Fix suggestion: Apply the current color theme to both foreground and background, basically remove all hardcoded colors.

The expression evaluator has the same problem, its UI is the same as the one from the interpreter.
Make interpreter colors customizable
This adds color options to the Scala theme, which can be found in the
preferences under General > Appearance > Colors and Fonts > Scala.
