Operative system set to Windows
Version changed from 3.0.4-211 to 4.0.0-RC1
You can change the displayed formatting in Preferences > Scala > Editor > Hover to get the pre tag non italic. I have no idea why indentation is not shown, this seems to be an issue on Windows.

Just tried that - changed CSS for pre tag to
but it was still displayed in italic (and unindented fwiw). Setting font-style to bold or anything else also didn't affect the code block style. Changing other settings (e.g. background-color) works though.
Should I file another bug?
