Work Distribution

Hey all.
After looking over the XSLT and the Java parser, I have some thoughts. If one of our goals is to generalize to XML parsing abilities of the whole system, I think it makes sense to eliminate the middle XML format created by the XSLT. As you saw in Michal Young's email yesterday, it seems like they just created that format because they were in under time constraints and someone on the project was good at XSLT.
Anyway, long story short, I think it makes sense for Mike and I to work on the XML and the Java parser (pratially because I have a lot of experience with XPath, which will make it really easy to do the parsing we're after). That said, I also think the goals we have set up need adjusting, because I think we can get more than just "generalizing the input" done in 4 weeks (maybe not a LOT more done, but at least some).
So Tai and Slavko, it probably makes sense for you guys to do the same thing Mike and I did: Just read of the code really thoroughly and get a good understanding of as many parts as possible. Then when we meet on Friday, we can discuss how to redistribute the work.
If anyone has any objections to these ideas, please do share your thoughts. We can have a more detailed discussion tomorrow.
