GDA94 Datum issue
Hello,
I'm having an issue with the GDA94 datum...D_Unknown? This also appears to be the case with the MGA UTM projections of this datum.
I also recieve similar datum results when using the load custom dialog, and referencing an ESRI ArcGIS 10 Projection file (Geocentric Datum of Australia 19994.prj)?
Is this bug and/or something that may be looked at?
Cheers, Bob.

In looking at this further it looks like PROJ4 (the projection engine DNRGPS uses treats the GDA94 datum as if it were GRS80. Check out this site for more: http://spatialreference.org/ref/epsg/4283/
In DNRGarmin, you needed to manually load your own PRJ file for each projection. DNRGPS attempts to do this for you automatically. But since the PROJ4 definition of this coordinate system is very generic it doesn't know to add GDA94 as the Datum. I'll need to try addressing this in the next release.
Thank you for pointing this out!

Hello!!!
I have had the same issue with GDA and I'm glad to have stumbled across this post!
I thought I had a work around by importing the .prj file from the spatial reference website (http://spatialreference.org/ref/epsg/28355/) . It has created a new POSC code however it still reads the GEOGCS as GCS GRS 1980. I have added the .prj file that I loaded as well as a screenshot.
I would have thought that it would have read the added .prj file or does it convert to the proj4 definition as a standard?
Thanks
Allison
