getPath() causes a crash

Could you define that a little better? If by "crash" you mean "throws an exception" then I would argue that is the proper result. If there is someone standing where you want to go then you can't get there. Therefore, a path is not possible and you might as well fail. If however you mean d2bs segfaults/freezes then yes, something needs to be done.
d2 window will crash and d2bs.log will contain an exception error in actmap (not sure which line because I don't have the log anymore)
I avoided this issue in kolbot by increasing delay after taking a waypoint.
If you think this should be investigated further, I can reproduce the crash and give you the log.
