Patch 4 - Gurke's cloak return dialog option not present + others
Posted by Anonymous on 2014-08-04 08:46
#1 - Just tried to return Gurke's cloak - did not get the option for dialog, just grumbles on
#2 - Quests related to Edwin/Minsc/Dynaheir/Ingot do not close out, even though I rescued her. Tried rescuing her with Minsc in party but he rages every single time in battle and I get tired of healing him - Other walkthroughs I've seen show that Minsc was supposed to be a Ranger, not a Barbarian?
#3 - Stats for the NPC's must have been modded for D&D 3.5E? The stats older walkthroughs show from dedicated BG rp'ers show older stats, which we all know during AD&D days would have been unlikely/unprobable, but still possible.
#4 - Other quests do not seem to be stepping/closing correctly in Journal. Would be great if I could find a list of them and a means to manually close ones that are essentially finished, so my quest log/journal would close correctly, without having to become a toolset expert - which I did with NWN1 (designed a massive Call of Cthulhu mod), but never did get competent with the NWN2 toolset.
All in all, a great job on the module - I never played the original, so I have nothing to compare it to. I'm certain I couldn't do a better job.

I'll finish this mod, but I think I might be finished with PC gaming, I just don't have the patience for the instability compared to consoles. With the limited gaming time I have available (And appetite for it, honestly), I like it to be an enjoyable and non-frustrating experience.
Many thanks to the BGR mod team for all their hard work, providing this content for free. As stated, I attribute 98% of issues to NWN2 underlying engine.
