Hey James, here's documentation on how to run just the visualizer for an app.
How to run visualization:
1. Go to guitar directory
cd guitar
2. Build android guitar, it will generate the gui-visualizer-adr.jar file
ant adr.dist
3. Change to the guitar-libs directory
cd dist/guitar/jars/guitar-lib
4. Run the gui-visualizer-adr.jar to see visualization for a particular app*
java -jar gui-visualizer-adr.jar [app name]
For example if you want to see the visualization for the app HelloAUT try:
java -jar gui-visualizer-adr.jar HelloAUT
*Make sure that gui ripper has been run on the application already

Here is a walkthrough for the Visualization:
- Dragging window's around move's them and their node's and their edges.
- Right click and drag on the canvas zooms.
- Control left click selects a given node. All unrelated elements of the PVC fade out.
- Control right click deselects a selected node. Related nodes fade in/out.
- Checking/unchecking the checkboxes of the layers portion of the legend displays/hides that layer.
- The legend shows helpful information about the PVC.
- Checking a window node in the Tree panel's tree will hide or show that Window and it's node's and their edges.
- Checking an event's node in the Tree panel's tree will hide or show that Event node and it's edges.
- Selecting a TestCase in the TestCase panel's tree will display that TestCase's Windows, Event nodes and edges in the PVC.
- Selecting a TestCaseStep in the TestCase panel's tree will display that TestCaseStep's TestCase's Windnows, Event nodes and edges in the PVC, but fades all except the selected TestCaseStep's Window's, Event destination node and edge.
I think that's the gist of what you can do, let me know if I missed something or if it's unclear.
