Building Electric Guitar

Where should the source code for electric guitar be placed in the android guitar svn?
And what do I need to add to the current build scripts so that the jar file of it will be created when running the ant script?
Also what would be a good place for its jar file?

You need to put a build script inside your project (build.xml). You can take a look at the visualizer build.xml here http://www.assembla.com/code/androidguitar/subversion/nodes/trunk/AndroidGUITAR/ext/adr/visualizer/gui-visualizer-adr/build.xml?rev=210
You can probably create a build script from eclipse as well, so take a look at the first.
You also need to make some changes to build-adr.xml file. You need to add the name of your project there (gui-electric-guitar-adr or whatever you decide to call it) in the array in line 83. If you put your project in the modules directory just add the name of your project there at the end of the array.
Also copy paste one of those target elements at the end of the file and change it to something like the following:
<target name="gui-eletric-guitar-adr" description="build visualizer">
<antcall target="dist-tool">
<param name="modules" value="${ag.modules}" />
<param name="platform" value="${adr.name}" />
</antcall>
</target>
That should be all you need to do. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

But because electric guitar is basically a one stop shop, I would think a more suitable place for this would be dist/guitar/ directory.
