Capturing User Inputs

I've been spending some time looking at the available jars and such and cannot find an easy way in the current model of the ripper to capture what component a user clicks. I have, however, found out about MonkeyRecorder which we can use by itself or modify a little bit to work a little better. This lets us get coordinates on the screen for the clicks, however I have not been able to think of a way to convert these into widgets or to be able to pull out the widget ID's for a test case. If we go the MonkeyRecorder route we can write another replayer or modify the replayer to also allow coordinate clicks to send events to go through.
If someone else found something that lets us click components and know which components we clicked, I'm all ears because I'm not having much luck in this area.
