Using the SVN

I hope to be able to explain how to use the SVN repository here. If you have any other questions about using the program, please reply with them here.
What is SVN?
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subversion_(software)
Subversion (SVN) is a version control system initiated in 2000 by CollabNet Inc. It is used to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly-compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS).
How do I use and SVN?
First of all, download and install TortoiseSVN http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/
Next, for this project, create a folder somewhere and name it "ZFGC Community Project" or similar.
Right click on the folder and click "SVN Checkout".
In the URL box, paste in http://svn.assembla.com/svn/ZFGC_Community_Project , Leave the radio button set on "Head revision", and click OK.
It will now download all of the SVN content.
Notice how the folder has a tick next to it? That means that the folder is using SVN.
You can now proceed to add files to the folder. Make sure that they are categorised properly. If no suitable category or sub category exists, create it.
Adding to the SVN or modifying files?
If you modify a file or folder or wish to add something to the SVN, as long as you think it won't damage the overall project, make sure you right click on the folder/file and choose "SVN Commit". Make sure to add a message detailing the changes. Choose the files to commit and press OK.
Updating?
Simple as right clicking on the ZFGCCP folder and clicking "SVN Update". This will update and add required files from the SVN to your folder. Be warned, this will overwrite any changes you have made to any of the files, so make sure you keep a copy of the modified files before updating, or commit the changes to SVN.
I don't like a change to a file, how do I bring back the old version?
You can revert a file by right clicking on it and choosing "TortoiseSVN->Update to revision". You then put in what revision of the file you want, and click OK. It will then revert the file(s) that you have chosen to the revision put in.
It is always good to go right click "TortoiseSVN->Show Log" first, to find out exactly which revision you need. HOPEFULLY the people making changes will add comments to the revision telling you exactly what changed with the file.
Hopefully I've covered all you need to know, however if you have any other questions about using the SVN, please reply with them here.
