BrUnit

I know BrUnit should be changed for phpUnit, but, I was wondering why BrUnit was making so many http request to the interface ?
It's mostly for logs purposes and assertions, why don't we just implement asserts directly in BrUnit and create a MySQL class to take care of the logs ?
I think it would greatly increase performances.
Any precision would be appreciated !
Thanks

Bromine is powered by Assembla.

Also, imagine Bromine supported .Net, C#, ruby, python and all the other selenium supported languages (no reason it shouldn't really), then it'd be much cleaner to just have to create a json http request thingy in each language than a complete test framework.
