Easy update window
hg in --quiet --template '{files}\n' | tr ' ' '\012'| sort | uniq
says it all.
This is being moved back to Grumpy Goblin. This is probably easier to implement if you look at how Mercurial can read branch names. For a test go to your System folder and enter 'hg branches'.

Change that last post ... make that going to happen this release for sure. here is some test code for you:
Found this at http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/DeveloperBasics and then I added the branches part. With this we will be able to use the old updater tool, only it will work with Mercurial. Branches just got a big reason to exist!
from mercurial import ui, hg, commands
u = ui.ui() # get a ui object
r = hg.repository(u, ".") # get a repo object for the current directory
c = r.changectx("tip") # get a context object for the "tip" revision
# show some information about the changeset
print c # represented as the changeset hash
print c.user()
print c.description()
print commands.branches(u, r, True)
# let's take a peek at the files
files = c.files()
for f in files:
fc = c[f]
print " ", f, len(fc.data())

So far so good. I will be posting a ZIP of the main.py, a start_developer, and the updater.py tool. You will need to have all of these, so Traipse devs I would suggest creating a new system folder to test this one out.
The start_developer contains hg updates for four repos. You can download updates from these or leave them remarked. They will NOT update your files.
Currently the updater is Severely BROKEN but it is a working model.
