This bug seems to occur only with Thin. There are no problems with Mongrel or Webrick. It was tested with Thin 1.2.4.

Tracks is not tested on Thin. AFAICS from the log, the problem is not in Tracks since the stack trace does not reach the application level.
The trace mentions missing session management. Sound like configuration to me. In /config/application.yml we do enable sessions, but perhaps this is interfering with Thin?
Closing for now because we do not support Thin and it seems to work for you for mongrel/webrick.

Thanks for a quick reply. I've reported this problem on Thin's bug tracker.
