Bad preferenced layout.
Migrated from http://lampsvn.epfl.ch/trac/scala/ticket/129
Reporter ArtemGr
scala.plugin_2.6.1.B3
Eclipse menu Window / Preferences... / Scala / Scala Editor Preferences.
Checkboxes are hidden behind the list (that is, behind the select with options "comment", "keyword", "literal", etc).
I've uploaded screenshot there.

I'm not a good SWT programmer. Seems like a good chance for someone else to contribute a better layout. Also, seems like an issues with Windows, and I don't have a windows machine to test on.

Is this still a problem on Windows? The preference dialog looks pretty ugly on Linux/GTK, but at least the checkboxes are visible.
Volunteers to tidy this up would be very welcome.

Just uploaded the fix. But notice that the others flaws in this dialog haven't been fixed.

Use in place of the first patch - provides a nice SWT layout

Replying to pedrofurla:
Just uploaded a patch which should take care of layout flaws. I do a lot of SWT at work and this should look quite nice.

Thanks very much for the contribution.
I was actually expecting this to be a patch relative to 2.7.5.final for the upcoming 2.7.6 release rather than being relative to trunk. As such I'm reluctant to apply it because the whole Scala editor preferences dialog will have gone away by the time of 2.8.0.
Would either of you be willing to backport the patch to the 2.7.x branch?

I have just up'ed the the refactor of the patch to go against the 2.7.x branch.
cpeterson, about your changes, I misses the scrolling of the option list. But I guess we can live without it and it's easy enough to change any time in future.

pedrofurla, sorry about missing the scrolling of the option list. for some reason the 2.8.x trunk which I checked out would not actually display the options while I was doing testing. I probably missed a step in getting the project working in eclipse.
