Eclipse becomes unresponsive for > 2 mins after opening Jackrabbit jar on build path
Migrated from http://lampsvn.epfl.ch/trac/scala/ticket/3277

I have attached a Scala project to this ticket, which is an empty project with the Apache Jackrabbit Standalone jar file on the build path.
In Project Explorer, clicking on the Jackrabbit library to open and view its contents causes Eclipse to become unresponsive for > 3 minutes. At that point, I have lost patience and killed the process. Ive restarted and retried 3 times, observing the same behavior.
For comparison, I created a Java Project with the same Jar on its Build path, and viewing its contents takes about 5 secs the first time, then instant thereafter.
Note: As jar file is 41Mb in size, I have omitted it from project export. This file http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi/jackrabbit/2.0.0/jackrabbit-standalone-2.0.0.jar should be downloaded and placed in the lib/ folder of the attached project. Also, I notice Eclipe's project export has omitted the empty src/main/scala/ dir.
As a side-note, some collateral damage I suspect was caused by the hard-restarts mentioned above was that the JDT became crippled, unable to load Java-related views/functions, despite several Eclipse restarts. After uninstalling SDT normal JDT functions resumed.

I cannot reproduce the problem on both 2.0.0-2.8 and master-2.10. It takes only a couple of seconds to open the jar. This has likely been fixed during 2.0 development.
Please reopen with additional information if you still see the problem.
