I'm having serious stability issues when trying to run Specs unit tests with the JUnit test runner. When I first open the IDE and my workspace, I'd say I have a 50:50 chance of being able to successfully run the test suite, so it's reached the point where the IDE has effectively become unusable as anything more than a glorified text editor. I commonly see two separate kinds of failure when trying to run tests:
1) An internal error occurred during: "Launching Apollo.Core tests" - typically only occurs at the point when I try to run tests. See the first stack-trace in the attached file, scenario1.log.
2) An internal error occurred during: "Compute launch button tooltip" - typically first occurs at the point when I try to run tests, but then reoccurs sporadically in the following 30 seconds or so. See the final stack-trace at the end of the attached file, scenario2.log.
Please note the both log files, especially scenario2.log, contain various other stack-traces. I don't know whether or not they are related to the problem at hand, but they certainly don't bode well. I'm also not sure whether or not the problems I'm having are specific to either JUnit or Specs, or the combination of both.
I'm running the following:
Gallileo 20100211-1343 as provided by the Ubuntu 10.04 repositories at the time of the filing of this defect, using the sun-java6-jdk package.
Scala Eclipse Plugin 2.8.0.r21907-b20100512033532 ch.epfl.lamp.sdt.feature.group
Eclipse Weaving Service Feature 220.127.116.1190313172428 org.eclipse.contribution.weaving.feature.group
Eclipse Platform 3.5.2 Eclipse Platform
EclEmma Java Code Coverage 1.4.3 com.mountainminds.eclemma.feature.feature.group (though this problem occurs without EclEmma installed)
I've also attached a text file containing the full configuartion information reported by Eclipse.
