If the source for a file can't be found when debugging, there is a button to let you add a custom source search directory. However, if you add one, Eclipse can't find any source files when you double-click on any breakpoint!
To get out of this bad workspace state it is necessary to remove the custom source directory - and then restart Eclipse!

Changing source lookup folders triggers a configuration change event, and by default source directors (there are two, Java and Scala...) are de-registered. But only the Java one is registered back. I imagine we need to listen to this event, and re-add our source lookup class.
