When an editor window is maximized (using ctrl+M) when I press ctrl+space the content assist opens and shows the correct alternatives. However, when I press enter to complete something, the content assist popup closes but nothing is inserted.
The content assist works normally when the file is not maximized. The content assist in Java files work normally as well, maximized or not.
I've seen the content assist work in Scala files a few times when maximized, but almost all of the time it doesn't. I haven't figured out any pattern. This is very frustrating, as it makes the maximized view practically useless (which in turn is very necessary when coding on a laptop screen).
I've changed my key mappings to the Emacs scheme, but that shouldn't affect this. I've checked that there are no conflicts, and the content assist works elsewhere.

I never noticed this problem before, and I cannot reproduce it when trying.
I tested with the same Eclipse and Scala IDE version, on Ubuntu 12.10.
Do you see the same behavior when trying to use content assist in a Java file in the same conditions?

Content assist in Java files works fine at the moment. That's why I reported the bug here, but I'm not sure is it a problem in the Scala IDE or the Eclipse platform.
I've been using Java and Scala interchangably lately (first time I've used Scala), and can't remember for sure have I seen the problem in a Java file. After I figured out that the problem occurs when the editor is maximized, I haven't been able to reproduce the bug with a Java file. With Scala files it occurs almost every time.
