It would be nice that you also support TestNG based test in Eclipse. In other words, if I have a test in Scala only using TestNG construct that I can execute it.

@sebtardif Support for TestNG could (and should) be provided in a separate plug-in. I noticed there is already an Eclipse plug-in for TestNG, did you try to install it and see if it works?

The Eclipse plug-in for TestNG does work when the Scala packages are in the right folders tree matching the packages. However, this doesn't address the custom support you have provided for JUnit that are listed here -> http://scala-ide.org/docs/current-user-doc/testingframeworks/index.html
Like the classes -> org.scalatest.junit.JUnitRunner & org.specs.runner.JUnitSuiteRunner
Like the classes -> org.scalatest.junit.JUnitRunner & org.specs.runner.JUnitSuiteRunner

@sebtardif My current understanding is that TestNG tests cannot be run if the package declaration doesn't match the physical location of a source file. This is a known limitation (#1001047). Otherwise, they work fine. So, I'm not understanding what you mean by "However, this doesn't address the custom support you have provided for JUnit [...]", could you elaborate? Thanks!

The class org.scalatest.junit.JUnitRunner & org.specs.runner.JUnitSuiteRunner are about JUnit and so, equivalent for TestNG could exist. Like this a project could run all their kind of tests using TestNG by specifying the entire projects in just one run.

@sebtardif I see. In any case it would be nice to have an idea of your setup to get an idea of where we'd be starting from. Don't hesitate to join to this issue an export of your TestNG config & tell us how you prefer to run tests so far.
