Shored up some installer failings (locations, most permissions seem to be good, but the thing STILL installs the Lion UI arbitrarily on 10.6.x!!!).

Write Jack R. and Marianne G. to see if there is any residual interest in continuing SCPlugin work, and to gauge whether they might be able to assist in the repairing/rebuilding the Badging feature (badging of icons per svn state is most essential for user comfort and confidence in the activity of the plugin, and would be eminently handy for testing purposes as well).

There are countless selection-command combinations to test.
