Hydrogen as LV2 plugin
it would be really great to be able to use Hydrogen as an LV2 plugin in Ardour (or other LV2 host app)
personally it think this beats lash/gladish/jack_session by far !
Compostie is a (hydrogen based) LV2 sampler plugin (but there seem to be some issues with it) so maybe the LV2 code can somehow be reused ?
maybe the way linuxsampler is implemented (as LV2 plugin) is a good idea : you add it as plugin, and when you launch the plugin gui liniuxsampler starts up as an 'external' app

imo, hydrogen as lv2 makes no sense. why, if you use hydrogen as an lv2 plugin from an external host, you are "mostly" only interested to use hydrogen's sample engine. all other h2 sequencer stuff is completely unused. so you will load xy percent unused components into memory.
imo, the better way here is to cooperate with gabriel's composite in this way that hydrogen stuff can used full transparent with composite. or/and, if this is not possible to separate the h2 sampler as an lv2plugin. at least like composite that already do, and create an own project-tree for this sampler-tool. a total rewrite into a completely modular hydrogen is much work and also maybe a bit contra productive to jeremy's current work.

ok, makes sense. lets leave this to Composite
i was mainly interested in this because settings of a plugin instrument get saved whenever you save your song (it eliminates the need for a session manager)
and btw it should have been DSSI iso LV2
