Paparazzi

I can never install anything from instructions (something is always missing or explodes). Perhaps someone can help, I am such a Linux virgin :) ? - Robert

Installing Paparazzi on Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric

trying these instructions to get Paparazzi src&bin into a VirtualBox off-the-shelf Ubuntu

in step 3 what is Search for paparazzi-dev and paparazzi-arm-multilib packages and click on install  ? No such button ! I think they mean "The gear icon at the top right hand side of the screen - 4th menu item down", which is either "Software Up to Date" or "Updates available"

Doing a subsequent "sudo apt-get update" from the command line (which I think is the same as clicking the Update button in the dialog that appears in response to "Updates Available" except that you can read the results: two errors

Hi Everyone,
For the benefit of everyone, I'm sending across the URL's for setting up the build environment for Paparazzi and the code repo of QuadShot:

1.  Git location for Paparazzi:  https://github.com/paparazzi/paparazzi
2.  Installing the Paparazzi tool kit:  http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/Installation
3.  Setting up Lisa/L with Overo:  http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/User/LisaL
4.  QuadShot repo URL:  https://github.com/psinha/paparazzi/tree/toytronics  -  This is the place where they drop in all their code base.
5.  Basically, to get started with Paparazzi, use this link:  http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/Getting_Started  - Very helpful and will get you setup
6.  Receiver information:  http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/User/LisaM/Tutorial/FixedWing#RC_receiver

Other useful information:
1.  The airframe file is located at:  conf/airframes/esden/jt_lisam.xml
2.  Information on the PPM input and output can be found on the file:  sw/airborne/arch/stm32/subsystems/radio_control/ppm_arch.c

I'm still exploring on these and will update you guys respectively when I find something.
