launch backend with external console
If one's project is an application that one wants or needs to start when starting the node, then because our console is a remote shell, no io:format output is visible there.
Unfortunately, capturing standard output from the process is interfering with other console functionality.
One workaround is to start the node manually and just connect to it, but if one needs to restart it often it is complicated.
Maybe we can start the backend with a visible console, where such messages can be seen? That would be with "cmd /c start erl_cmd_line" on Windows and something similar on linux/Mac, I think.
