DKey is a disambiguation system that has a (numberpad) keyboard as its input method. The software will run natively on Windows, speaks text as it is input and outputs it to the window with focus in the same way as other on-screen keyboards. The software uses the Tapir disambiguation engine to generate the suggestion list and to disambiguate the current input.
You can get the latest release from the Files tab above and see the DKeyDocumentation. To find out what we're working on or raise issues look at the Tickets. Developers will want to get/view the source in Trac/SVN.
Hi, I looked at Tapir a year ago or so, and I got really interested. Great that you are picking it up! However, for my daughter to easily test it I would have like to have it in another language. Not the whole program, but the layout and the word list. I have a Swedish word list with frequency info. Can such data be of use?
Would it be possible to make both the layout and the dictionary customizable so that non-English speaking users can help testing (and benefit from) your work??

Hi,
I saw your comment on mindtrove about pyhook - if you are looking for a similar solution on linux, see the pyxhook.py file in the pykeylogger (pykeylogger.sf.net) project. It does the same thing as pyhook on windows, using the python-xlib library.
Just fyi. Feel free to post a comment on the forums of the pykeylogger project if you need any help or info.
