Getting started with Subversion

1. Get a Subversion client

In order to use Subversion, you will first have to install a Subversion client. Free graphical client software, which may make Subversion easier to use, is available for most systems. In our subversion guide, we provide reviews and rating for many popular svn clients

2. Checkout your repository

In your Subversion client, choose the option to checkout and existing repository. Use the following url to checkout your repository:

https://subversion.assembla.com/svn/dhtiny-dynablo/

Note: If you already have a repository that you want to import you can do so in the Import/Export subtab

3. Done!

Now you are ready to commit your changes to your repository.

FAQ

What login credentials should I use?

You will be asked to provide login credentials, you should use your Assembla username and password. If you signed up using OpenID, then you need to set up a password first. Click here to set up a password

How do I use Subversion with Tickets?

You can use commit comments to link your changesets to Assembla tickets, and add comments to tickets or change their status.

Use "re #4" to link your commit to ticket #4.

Also, "references", "refs" and "see" will add a comment to the target ticket.

Use "<status> #4" to set ticket #4 to the target status. For example, "Test #4" or "Fixed #4".

Use "<status> #tickets" or "re #tickets" to reference all affected tickets in merge request.

How do I share my repository with my teammates?

First you need to invite them to your project from the Team Tab and then ask them to check out the repository.
