Traipse Development Home

This is the development home for Traipse OpenRPG. All bug tickets go here. If you would like to see how the development of Traipse OpenRPG is turning out, please visit the Traispe Assembla page: http://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/traipse

When Creating a Ticket

When you are creating a bug ticket, please assign the ticket to me (sirebral) so the Assembla software will notify me of the ticket creation.  You can also recieve email notifications about the tickets you have reported if you have an Assembla account.

Alpha to Beta to Stable

This Assembla trac contains two branches that are of importance, alpha and beta. The development process works in this manner:

Alpha

All development starts on my desktop. When I have reached a certain level of stability I will release the code into the Alpha branch. While this branch is available for all to download and try it should not be considered stable. I use the Alpha branch so that I can easily transfer my work from the different computers I use and test the stability on multiple Operating Systems.

Beta

Once the Alpha branch has reached a level of stability I feel the users will be comfortable with I release the Alpha into the Beta branch. Users are invited to try the Beta branch and report any bugs they find in the Beta. The bugs get fixed and the new code is again tested on multiple Operating Systems

Stable

The Stable branch is on the Traipse wiki: http://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/traipse. I leave the content here so that the multiple branches are more difficult to mess up with a poor commit message. If you have downloaded and installed Traipse then you probably have the most stable release.  If not, then you can download it from the web page.
