Taykt.com is a UK service which allows you to receive and respond to text messages. You pick a word ("HI") and when someone texts your word to 447786201114 (or just 07786 20 111 4 on a UK mobile), Taykt lets you send back a response. This site describes the API for Taykt.
Using the API you can dynamically respond to text messages sent to your words, via webhooks.
Getting involved
If you have a code example, or an application to show off, please feel free to contact us or simply edit the wiki (you'll need to create an Assembla account and click the "watch this space" link, which you'll find at the top-right of every page).
Follow @taykt for announcements regarding API changes. There's no mailing list at the moment, but you can discuss the project in the messages section of this site.
