20/10/07 – MIRO IS BACK
It’s been a long absence for me from this project, over a year now. I’ve been studying, working, travelling…all that kind of stuff, and when I started studying in particular, I left Miro behind in my priorities. Well, now I have a full year off from studying, I want to start getting this project back on it’s feet, but with a difference: Windows Vista. I’ve been learning the in’s and out’s of XAML and LINQ lately, and I have to say I’d love to try it out on this program. I can see a pretty awesome client coming out of my snazzy new skills in WPF/XAML and the new VB9 abilities. I’m really excited about what a new up-to-date client would be like, but i’m definitely still skeptical about the demand for a slsk client.
Anyway, more info to come soon i hope, so stay tuned!

30/07/06 After the best part of the morning struggling with Tortoise SVN ive finally managed to upload a new branch featuring a heavy reorganisation of the Core files and namespaces (keeping all the revision info :D). Hopefully things will now be easier to understand. This new branch is based on the code from the 0.3-mvc branch.

28/07/06 Things should start picking up again now, i’m (Raoul) back working on the project again with more regularity. My main aims at the moment are to get the share manager and SQLite backend sorted as well as neatening up the core generally. Watch this space!

PLEASE NOTE: Activity of the project may seem to drop in the next few weeks due to a few reasons. Raoul (NATnatic) is busy studying for his exams and i’m taking upon myself to completely revamp the Miro code at this stage to be compliant with the MVC programming design pattern…paradigm…whatever you want to call it. It fits this project perfectly and will make it alot easier to manage in the long run so i want to get it out of the way while I still can. That being said, Miro is not dying, just getting stronger!
