Switch access methods for MAAVIS, methods in italics are lowest non-essential:

Single switch methods

• Auto scan (Scan progresses at rate set in user settings, press to start, press to stop)
• User scan (scan progresses at rate set in user settings, _whilst_ switch is pressed down)

Two switch methods

• Halving (switch 1 to select L side, switch 2 to select R side)
• User scan (switch 1 to move whilst pressed, switch 2 to select)
• Auto scan (switch 1 to start, switch 2 to select)

More than 2 switches

• Directed scanning (switch 1 - right, switch 2 - select)(switch 1,2,3,4 -right,left,up,down, switch 5 -select)...

Sequencing methods

• Simple scan - as small number (<10) cells per page, no need (?) to have other methods.

Highlighting: 

• highlight colour
•  in-fill or outline

Interface

• keyboard (tab&space/enter, left/right&space enter etc)
• usb joystick fire 1&2 (i.e. joycable)
