Simple Java AWT based Chat Client and Server

Here are the simple steps to install the client(s) and server.

• Go to the files page:http://www.assembla.com/spaces/java_chatserver/documents
• Download: address.txt, client jar and the server jar.

1. You can put the sever jar on the machine everyone can connect to.
2. You can put the client jar and address.txt on machine(s) where user want to use this.
*note: the client jar and address.text should be in same directory and address.txt should contain the IP address of the machine where server jar is placed.
3. Double click on server jar. A dialog would open. Start the server.
4. Double click the client jar. A login box would open. First time register your self with a login name and password. From next time simply login to connect to the server.
