About
The EBox Modules is a collection of addition modules for the EBox platform.
News
6. April 2008- ebox-subversion 0.3.4 released, with a simple fix to lift the dependency on given eBox versions. No other fixes (please report bugs :) )
- ebox-subversion 3.3.3 is released, and I’m calling this ‘RC1’. Head over to the File page and try it out.
- I got interviewed by Nacho at Warp. My 15 minutes of fame! ;)
Available modules
- Subversion – A subversion repository using basic authentication
Planned modules
- Netatalk – Apple file sharing using Netatalk
- Moblock – Moblock Block list intergration.
- Avahi – Support for mDNS, as used by Apple’s Bonjour using the Avahi daemon
Possible modules
- Kerberos V – Support for Kerberos V using Heimdal. There is a ticket on Warp’s Trac for this, so maybe they’ll do it :)
Possible ports
These ports would be done to facilitiate the use of ZFS, which would make filesystem management a whole lot easier. They are unlikely to be started until eBox main reaches 1.0.
- OpenSolaris – Possibly to either Nexenta or OpenSolaris itself. If OpenSolaris, much work will need to be done on upstream packages as most of them are missing. Nexenta is an easier target
- FreeBSD 7.x – Upstreams are less of a problem.
Source
Source code is available via Subversion at http://tools.assembla.com/svn/ebox_modules, and Trac’s pretty print version is also available.
