Followers explained

A follower of a ticket will get email alerts and updates for all changes related to that ticket. For example, comments made by other users, files added to a ticket, status changes, etc.

Who is added as Followers when ticket is created?

When a ticket is created, the person who reported it in the first place and the person to whom the ticket is assigned are automatically added as followers. Users who have changed alert setting to automatically follow new tickets will also be added as followers.

Adding yourself as follower from ticket list

If you want to follow a certain ticket or set of tickets. You can do it by going to the Ticket Tab of your space. Then, in the ticket list click on the star located next to ticket number. All tickets you’re following will be marked with a yellow star. If you want to stop following a certaint ticket just unmark the star. Tickets which you're not follower will be marked with a grey star.

Adding and Removing followers from edit ticket page

You can easily add a follower to an existing ticket from the edit ticket page. First, click on the ticket you want to add the followers to. Then, Scroll down to followers panel and add login or email address of the users.

In the same panel, you can remove a user from the follower list. Click on the red cross next to the user login and user will be removed from follower list.

 

Automatically Follow New Tickets

If you need to automatically follow new tickets pertaining to a certain space. Go to the Stream tab of that space. Then, click on email notifications subtab. Scroll down and you’ll find the option to automatically follow new tickets. Finally, click on update settings.
