Assembla is designed to foster collaboration amongst project teams. Our workspaces can be made viewable to the public, creating micro sites within Assembla.com.
There are a number of ways that the public workspaces can be used… Build “open source inspired” and allow anyone interested in participating to join the team. Create a customer service portal and let users communicate and solve problems together. Organize a think tank to solve world hunger… Whatever.
Assembla has an integrated search tool that searches public spaces and your private spaces. Use keywords to find workspaces related to topics you are interested in. If you find something good, you can “watch” the space. If the workspace owner allows it, you can join the team.
Some workspaces are managed by companies and product owners as templates for development. You can copy their workspace to your own, new workspace and use it for development.
