Assembla - Tracker and Screen Capture
Assembla tracker is a desktop application written in Java that can quickly capture screen shots. This makes it easy to capture a screenshot and post it as a bug report. It also provides an automated time tracking feature that will log your time every 15 minutes, ask you for a task description, and attach a screenshot.
Download and Install
Windows OS Installer
After you run the windows installer, you will see the Assembla Tracker in your task bar.
Multiplatform zip distribution
If you are using Mac or Linux, you can unpack the java files and run the AssemblaTracker-XXX.jar file as a normal application.
You must install java on your computer to run this application.
Post a Screen as a Ticket
To capture a screen shot and post it as a Ticket or File
Select the “Screenshot” button. Then drag your mouse over the area you want to grab. Then click on the resulting shaded area. You can submit it as an Assembla ticket, or a file.
Auto-Track Your Time
To use the time tracker
Select "Start a task". You will need to enter the space you are working in, the job to bill to, and a task description. The system will track your time. Every 15 minutes it will post your description with a screenshot as an attachment on the time entries.
This is an early release, so send us your comments and requests.
