Marker Filtering
Each marker may be a member of a group. The visibility of marker groups on each map is selectable by the user. When a group is de-selected, all markers which are members of that group are removed from the map. Markers which are not members of a group may not be removed from the map using marker filtering. When a map is autopopulated with markers, those markers are automatically assiged to a group who name is equal to that of the originating TMC server.
Marker type visibility takes precidence over group visibility. For example, on a map containing camera icons, the camera icons will never be visible when camera markers are de-selected even when their correspondng group is visible.
A marker may be assigned to a group by selecting the group on the marker's property page. A new marker group may be created simply by entering the a new group name rather than selecting an existing group. A marker can be removed from all groups by specifying a blank group name.
When the Group Filter toolbar button or menu item is disabled, it is an indication that the map set contains no marker groups.
Marker groups are automatically deleted when they contain no markers.
